Take Malarone With Water?

LANDSCAPES: photographic exhibition by Ivo Fanella and Gianni Cupiccia

Dopo il successo della mostra fotografica "Paesaggi" tenutasi presso il castello di Maenza(LT)dal 18 Dicembre 2009 fino on January 18, 2010, calling the shots in the gallery of Gianni Cupiccia and Ivo Fanella.

The landscape photos are now rarely simple documentary images. In the representation that makes the photographer they become the enclave, the perimeter within which their ideas take shape. The nature which he captures is not just a place, but the symbol. The author synchronises his mind with the rhythm of the landscape in front of him. The photograph obtained is not the result of brain matter, but by instinct. Details, color tones, light cones and eye shadow are prey of the heart. Whoever keeps the whole is no longer before an image of a faithful reproduction of reality, but a new perception and metaphor of the earth. The photo looks like a revelation, and all the objects he is caught they open a new reading. The plots of vegetation, the rock of the mountain, the stone with which it has built a church, the still water in a treasure chest between the prairies, outlining the charm and perfection of something that apparently does not change over time.
"Photographing a temporary event in an otherwise eternal scenario is my ambition," writes the photographer Sam Abell. Changing locations can occur in times long or too short to delude ourselves that we admire today landscapes remain unscathed forever. The gift giving is landscape photography to give exact and unique moments on paper that demonstrate the profound balance and strength that make up nature.
