Isla de la Juventud, Cuba




Isle of Youth (Isla de la Juventud, Cuba) is one of the islands of Cuba
Before It's much older of the 'Columbian was "we know very little about the history of this island .

The Republic of Cuba is an island in the Caribbean Sea. The island of Cuba, the Isla de la Juventud, consists of several islands.
Havana is the largest city of Cuba and the country's capital, while Santiago de Cuba is the second largest city.

Cuba is home to over 11 million people and is the most populous island nation in the Caribbean. Its people, culture and customs draw from several sources, including the aboriginal Taino and Ciboney peoples, the period of English colonialism, the introduction of African slaves, and the closeness with the United States, has helped make it a recognized of different ethnicities.


The name "Cuba" comes from the Taino language, and although the exact meaning is not clear, can be translated either as "fertile land, abundant" or "ideal" (coabana). It is also said that Cuba shares the same Arabic root word "Ka'bah". which means "Shrine".
Another clear indication that the name "Cuba" was given by Columbus after the ancient city of Cuba in the district of Beja in Portugal.
